UW-River Falls Indoors Invitational

(Sr, Two Rivers) took first place finishes at the UW-River Falls Indoor Invitational as UW-Stout places third as a team Saturday.
Nelson led three Blue Devils to the top spots in the long jump, winning the event with a mark of 21-feet, 0.50-inches. Caleb Ryberg
(Fr, Hudson) was second (19-11) and Dalton Mensink
(Fr, Rushford, Minn) was third third (19-3.50).
Evans won the triple jump by more than a foot, putting down a mark of 43-00.50. Evers won the high jump, clearing 6-1.50. The 4x200-meter relay team took first with a time of 1-minute, 51.89-seconds.
Sean O'Brien (Sr, Burnsville, Minn) was second in the 3000-meter with a time of 8:47.05. Austin Zett
(Jr, Presque Island) took second in the shot put (48-4.50) and the weight throw (51-5.50). Mitch Easker
(Sr, Antigo) was third in the 5000-meter run (15:10.30). Mitch Freund
(So, New Holstein) was third in the 600-meter (1:25.20). Brent Flint (Fr, Twin Lakes) was fourth in the pole vault (14-1.75). Brad Jones
(So, Naperville, Ill) was fourth in the weight throw (49-2.50).
On Friday, Patrick Jenkins
(So, Cambridge) ran the second fastest time in school history in the indoor 5000-meter, placing third at the University of St. Thomas Invitational in St. Paul, Minn. Jenkins clocked a time of 14:43.49.
Stout will be at the St. John's Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 16.
