University of Wisconsin Stout Tailgating Policies

Whether you are a part of the Blue Devil Athletics family or a fan of the opposition, we intend to provide you with an enjoyable experience during your visit to UW-Stout. The tailgating policies below are designed to ensure your safety and comfort. Please respect the needs of others, beauty of the grounds, and follow the directives of our parking attendants and University Police officers.


  • No Alcohol beverages are allowed on University property.
The University of Wisconsin Stout does not sanction the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages on University lands; nor does it sanction the violation of federal, state or local law.
  • Tailgating must occur only in the designated tailgate area marked by signs.
  • Vehicles leaving the tailgate area may not return to the area.
  • Tailgating is permitted three hours prior to the start of the game. Tailgate activities will cease at game time. Our security must be able to focus all of their attention to inside the stadium once the game begins. University Police will ask those failing to comply to leave the premises.
  • Grilling is permitted. Portable grills are limited to elevated grills using propane; charcoal or other grills/containers with an open flame are not permitted. Propane tanks should be limited to the 5-10 gallon size.
  • No gas power generators are allowed.
  • Tents and or tent stakes may not be used on the parking lot surface.
  • No sales activities are allowed on UW-Stout campus without permission from the appropriate University office.
  • All groups and individuals participating in tailgating are responsible for proper disposal of their trash and other debris.
  • Individuals attending events at UW-Stout are expected to conduct themselves in a manner respectful of the nature and character of the university. Person acting in a disruptive, disrespectful or disorderly manner may be asked to leave the premises or be subject to citation. Students may also be charged with a violation of the Code of Student Conduct.

The University of Wisconsin Stout reserves the right to ask any tailgater to leave the area at any time.


Please be respectful of other tailgaters around you. As Blue Devil fans, we rely on you not only to follow these policies, but to help enforce them with those around you. UW-Stout promotes a family atmosphere in the parking lot and the stadium.
